This is the main feature that the self-study
learning environment is composed of, although it may
be given as a content service in a
stand-alone mode.
The solutions contain hints and guidelines to
illustrate the steps needed to be taken to solve
the problem, if students choose to solve a problem
themselves. Each guideline is connected to the
relevant detailed solution step. Any part in the way
towards the final answer may be hidden from
students by their tutor, for a specific time,
to let them try and solve the problems on their
own.
The surrounding theory required to solve
problems is presented via links as an integrated
part of the solution itself. This approach helps
the student transform theory into practical
knowledge required to solve problems.
